David Osslov:
He wants to publish my short stories. He is a prospective employer. He also supports my work. I have a crush on him. He is gentle with me and kind as well as supportive in general. He wants to hear me. He acknowledges my existence and is not embarrassed of me. He is slow and cautious. He is reminiscent of my father
Marie Colt:
She is my eccentric mother. We became estranged once I continued my path of writing. I love her. It was tough growing up with her and her neurosis but she taught me to have humor about life. She was the reason for my eating disorder. She was my idol and my curious observation. I was fascinated with her. She is my story.

Art of Dining Character Bio
Hello my name is Elizabeth Barron Colt,
I am 24 years old, a short story writer, and getting a Master's in English at New York University. I grew up in an upper-middle class neighbor hood.
I am the only child of Marie and Charles Colt. My father was an investment banker and my mother, was well mother. She mostly attended to the community, a real busy bee. I started writing when I was seven. It started as poems, little nursery rhymes. I could never come to writer a long story, it seemed to become boring, plus my brain would lose track of the thought. I am a fantasy writer, many of my stories are about medieval times and alien planets.
I am a terribly shy person, I would like to talk however I was shut down many times by my mother. I had to act proper, but I was very clumsy. I am passionate, whenever I talk it is with enthusiasm and passion. Conversation is key and what makes us so human. The want to be heard and to listen. I have very low confidence in myself. I did not apply for Mr. David Osslow's publishing company, one of my friends did. I was surprised when he called and asked to meet me for dinner. I like to stay in. I also never eat dinner, it disgusts me so I was nervous about coming to the dinner.
I love to tell stories. To transform someone into your world is magic and should be experienced. I am kind, I was taught to do right by people. I find humor in dark things, otherwise how could you continue- my mother taught me this. Many times I am awkward and tend to say things that are wrong socially, I try to stop myself.
Yours,
Elizabeth

The Art of Dining Monologue
Elizabeth Barron Colt:
She turned on the gas and opened that big mouth of an oven door and stuck her head in... with her hat firmly in place.
It must of been quite a sight mother down on all fours, trying to fit her head in without knocking her hat off...
Oh dear I shouldn't laugh...
Well, after she'd been in there for ten minutes or so, getting groggier and groggier, something went wrong.
The paper machè trinkets on her hat began to sizzle and explode like little firecrackers.
Within moments the entire hat was in flames. she came to like a shot and raced to the sink... her head actually cooking!
She turned on the water full blast... Her hat and her hair was consumed... but she survived.
She joked about it afterwards... after the hospital stay and plastic surgery... about almost having barbecued herself like some amazing delicacy... some exotic roast!
"I BET I WOULD HAVE TASTED DAMNED GOOD!", she used to say, smacking her lips.
My mother is very beautiful, you know... she's so beautiful... people turn around.

CTG Workshop
Yesterday I attended a workshop named “A Shared Vision: Creating New Work through Ensemble Collaboration” with John Sinner. He said he enjoyed my work, and meant it.
Learned:
Communication is key
Commit completely
Better to be too big than too little
Find the truth, facts; and fill in the rest
Do not be afraid
Ask questions
Be in the moment, once you understand the character and their objective then the lines will make sense... most of the time, if not that's why you have the writer and director there
Experiment- you are not stupid
Never ask someone if they liked it, ask how did it make you feel
