Yesterday I attended a workshop named “A Shared Vision: Creating New Work through Ensemble Collaboration” with John Sinner. He said he enjoyed my work, and meant it.
Learned:
Communication is key
Commit completely
Better to be too big than too little
Find the truth, facts; and fill in the rest
Do not be afraid
Ask questions
Be in the moment, once you understand the character and their objective then the lines will make sense... most of the time, if not that's why you have the writer and director there
Experiment- you are not stupid
Never ask someone if they liked it, ask how did it make you feel
